The second meeting was held within the framework of the “From Media, For Media” project for the development of a guideline/regulation for the operation and strengthening of professional standards of the media in Kosovo
During the meeting, the points and recommendations from the first meeting of the working groups were discussed, ensuring that they align with the Code of Ethics and existing conventions. The discussions focused on ethical principles and standards, transparency and editorial independence, data protection and privacy, as well as the representation of diversity and social sensitivity.
All recommendations were expanded and further developed with the aim of creating a comprehensive yet simple guideline for journalists in the newsroom.
The meeting was attended by representatives from institutions, non-governmental organizations, and media operating in Kosovo.
This project is supported by UNMIK - United Nations Mission in Kosovo, which will continue with meetings and other activities in the coming months.
