Three-Day Interethnic Camp for Journalists Held
A three-day interethnic camp for journalists was held, led by Xhemajl Rexha and Jeton Mehmeti. The camp brought together journalists from different ethnic communities in Kosovo with the aim of strengthening professional cooperation and building trust among journalists who report in different media outlets and languages.
During the camp sessions, participants discussed the role of journalism in building trust between communities and strengthening social cohesion, as well as the importance of responsible and sensitive reporting on interethnic issues. The trainers shared experiences and best practices on how journalists can contribute to creating a media space that promotes mutual understanding, cooperation, and balanced information for all communities.
An important part of the camp was the practical group work. Journalists worked together to develop concrete ideas for stories addressing shared topics that encourage trust and cooperation.
As a result of this camp and the collaboration established among journalists, six joint articles will be published during the course of this project, prepared by the groups formed during the training.
This project is funded by UNMIK.
