Condolence telegram to the Shaqiri family
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) has received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of journalist, editor, and correspondent Sylejman Shaqiri.
Sylejman Shaqiri made an unparalleled contribution to journalism and media. He began his career in the early 1980s at Radio Ferizaj, where he served as chief editor and director, and later continued at Radio Television of Prishtina as a journalist and senior editor. After the violent closure of RTP, his work continued at Radio Croatia and Radio Tirana. Following the war, he held the highest positions, including Director General of Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK), where he also served as news editor and head of several programmes.
Shaqiri will be remembered for his professionalism, dedication to the profession, and his leading role in the development of media in Kosovo.
