The journalist of Gazeta Infokus was obstructed and threatened in Obiliq
Yesterday, journalist Hateme Smajli from Gazeta Infokus was threatened by Haki Jashari, the Director of the Center of Family Medicine in the Municipality of Obiliq.
According to a notice sent to the AJK, Smajli visited the KKMF after receiving complaints from citizens about mold on the second floor of the building.
During the encounter, Smajli and camera operator Blerant Shala approached Jashari to address the issue but were met with insults and threats. In a video recording of the incident, Jashari can be heard belittling Smajli and threatening to speak to her superiors.
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo strongly condemns Jashari's behavior towards Smajli and considers it a violation of the right to access information and transparency. We urge the appropriate authorities to take action against Jashari's mistreatment of the journalist from Gazeta Infokus.
