Attacks on media outlets and organizations, Shënjestër.net, 02.06.2026
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK) condemns the obstruction of the online media outlet Shënjestër.net by members of the acting Prime Minister’s close protection team.
Footage released by the outlet shows a member of the Kosovo Police obstructing one of the crew members, physically pushing him and threatening him with arrest.
AGK considers this conduct unacceptable and unprofessional. The Association calls on the Government to distance itself from such behavior and urges the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) to launch an investigation into the officer involved.
AGK also calls on political parties to ensure minimum working conditions for media representatives covering their activities during this important election campaign period.
