Syri Television from Gjakova has informed AJK, that one of their team was hindered during the performance of their duties by the Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Water Company "Gjakova," Hasan Krasniqi.

"The team, consisting of journalist Ngadnjim Haxhosaj and cameraman Valon Nixha, responded to the request of the residents of the village of Bishtazhin who invited us to report on a problem that had caused flooding in some lands and the village school. The same were insulted and prevented from performing their duties by Chief Krasniqi, who tried to stop the journalist and the cameraman from reporting. According to the team, the language used by the chief was banal, and the attempt to obstruct the duty was an obstacle to reporting a concern of the residents. The same language in the presence of our team was also used towards his colleagues, which had also happened in other previous cases where Chief Krasniqi had not spared his colleagues from this language, also in the presence of our teams." It is stated in an announcement of this television.

AJK condemns Krasniqi's behavior towards the television crew, and he invites the company where he works to investigate the case and make the necessary decisions.

AJK calls on local and central-level officials not to obstruct the work of journalists whose reports are in the public interest.

Case description	Televizoni Syri nga Gjakova ka informuar se një ekip i tyre është penguar gjatë kryerjes së detyrës nga Kryeshefi Ekzekutiv i Kompanisë Rajonale të Ujësjellësit “Gjakova”, Hasan Krasniqi. “Ekipi i përbërë nga gazetari Ngadhnjim Haxhosaj dhe kameramani Valon Nixha i’ u përgjigjën kërkesës së banorëve të fshatit Bishtazhin të cilët na ftuan për të raportuar rreth një problemi që kishte shkaktuar vërshime në disa toka e në shkollën e fshatit. Të njëjtit u ofenduan e u penguan në kryerjen e detyrës nga kryeshefi Krasniqi, i cili tentoi t’i ndalojë gazetarin dhe kameramanin në raportim. Sipas ekipit gjuha e përdorur nga kryeshefi ishte banale, si dhe tentimi për ti penguar në detyrë ishte pengesë për raportimin e një shqetësimi të banorëve. Gjuhë e njëjtë në prezencë të ekipit tonë u përdorë edhe ndaj kolegëve të tij, gjë që gjithashtu kishte ndodhur edhe në raste tjera të mëhershme, ku kryeshefi Krasniqi nuk kishte kursyer kolegët nga kjo gjuhë, gjithashtu në prezencë të ekipeve tona”, thuhet në një njoftim për AGK-në, të këtij televizioni.
