The Association of Journalists of Kosovo today was informed by the editors of Plus TV, that their journalist, Irfan Maliqi, was threatened by Sylë Salihu - Head of Social Services within the PSC in Vitia.

Maliqi has also received threatening messages from Hysen Ymeri - Head of the Human Resources Office in the Municipality of Vitia regarding a story about the lack of professionals in the branches of social work in this municipality.

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo, condemns this action of Salihu and Ymer, at the same time qualifies it as contradicting the general values of freedom of the press and expression. The attempt to impose on journalists what to report is a tendency to control information.
