Tonight we gathered to continue the SDG Talks series with a special discussion, where Flutura Kusari shared her inspiring experiences with the audience. The conversation was moderated by Getoarbë Mulliqi and focused on the importance of gender equality for a more just and sustainable society.

Flutura shared her powerful story and spoke about the many challenges that she and other women and young girls face in their daily lives. She emphasized that efforts to achieve gender equality are not just a women’s issue, but a necessity for the development of the entire society.

During the conversation, she placed a special focus on the extraordinary work of women journalists, who often work in challenging conditions to uncover the truth and contribute to justice. This role is essential for a more open and informed society.

The discussions with the attendees were open, inspiring everyone to think more deeply about these topics and to take concrete steps to improve the position of women in society.

At the next SDG Talk, we will have the pleasure of hearing from other inspiring people who bring new ideas for sustainable development and equality.

This activity is part of the UN Women project “Addressing the impacts of gender-based violence in Kosovo and empowering survivors to fight stigma and speak out”, supported by the British Embassy in Pristina.
