The T7 Television team is threatened at the Vote Counting Center in Peja
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) has expressed concern over the obstruction of the T7 Television team by the manager of the Vote Counting Center in Peja, Abdurrahim Haxhisefa.
According to reports, journalist Arianitë Zhegrova and cameraman Gjens Karaqi were prevented from carrying out their duties and were even threatened with having their camera broken.
This act represents an unacceptable attack on media freedom and the work of journalists, whose duty is to inform the public about crucial processes such as vote counting. Even more concerning is the fact that this incident occurred in the presence of the chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Kreshnik Radoniqi, without any intervention or action on his part.
AJK calls on the Central Election Commission to take measures against the individual responsible and ensure a safe environment for journalists covering electoral processes.
