The conference continues with the First Panel: Empowering Women Journalists' Networks

The First Panel began with an important discussion on strengthening women journalists' networks, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation to help women in media overcome challenges and create more inclusive and sustainable journalism.

The discussion was moderated by Vlora Tuzi Nushi, Head of Office, UN Women in Kosovo, with the participation of representatives from women journalists' networks from Kosovo and the region:

  • Getoarbë Mulliqi – Kosovo

  • Elisabeta Bejkova – North Macedonia

  • Irena Myzeqari – Albania

  • Djurdja Radulović – Montenegro

  • Maša Mileusnić – Serbia

  • Lajla Zaimović Kurtović – Bosnia and Herzegovina

The discussion highlighted the importance of cross-border cooperation and networking as essential tools for addressing the challenges faced by women journalists, as well as for promoting gender equality and stronger representation in the media industry. Through the exchange of experiences and ideas, the panel provided a platform to strengthen solidarity and develop support mechanisms that help women journalists have a stronger and more protected voice in the region.
