The Association of Journalists of Kosovo organized a public lecture today in Prishtina with the well-known world photographer, Ron Haviv, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo.

Haviv, who has documented wars in Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, and other countries, presented evidence of his work from the Balkans, South America, the Arab Spring, and more at the University of Prishtina's Faculty of Education Grand Amphitheater today.

The opening speech of the lecture was given by Xhemajl Rexha, the Chairperson of the Board of AJK. He expressed gratitude and appreciation for Haviv for accepting the organization's invitation to be in Prishtina. During his remarks, Haviv emphasized the importance of documenting historical moments from around the world.

Haviv brought numerous photographs from the war in Kosovo and the refugee crisis. He also highlighted the story of an Albanian man from Macedonia, Hajrush Ziberi, who was killed in Bosnia by Arkan's unit at the start of the war.

The event was attended by ambassadors, representatives of international organizations in Kosovo, young journalists, journalists with many years of experience, well-known local photographers, local and international students, as well as family members of individuals who were photographed by Haviv during that period.

AJK would like to thank the American School of Kosovo for their cooperation, which enabled Haviv's visit to Kosovo. A special thanks to the Rugove Corporation for their generous sponsorship of the event. Furthermore, we thank the Faculty of Education - UP for providing the ideal location for the lecture.
