Attacks towards media, Prishtinë, 09.06.2025
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) expresses deep concern over a series of cyberattacks targeting the online economic news outlet Buletini Ekonomik in recent days.
The outlet has informed AJK that the persistent attacks over the past week have severely disrupted its ability to operate normally.
AJK strongly condemns these coordinated attacks, which come at a time when journalists from Buletini Ekonomik have been publishing a series of articles on Kosovo’s energy sector—reporting that has sparked significant public debate.
We view these actions as an attempt to intimidate both the journalists and the outlet, with the intent of obstructing their work. We urge the Cybercrime Unit of the Kosovo Police to urgently launch an investigation to identify and prosecute those responsible.
Journalists in Kosovo must be able to carry out their work freely and without interference, in service of the public interest.
