Other threats to journalists, Leonard Kërquki, Prishtinë,12.11.2025

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) deems the offensive remarks made by Acting Deputy Prime Minister Donika Gërvalla toward Television 7 and journalist Leonard Kerquki, host of the program Pressing, as unacceptable and unbefitting of her public office.

AJK strongly condemns such language from a senior state official, as it seeks to undermine the work of both the media outlet and the journalist — particularly given that she herself has previously granted an interview to the same outlet.

AJK calls on acting government officials and representatives of the former ruling party to exercise restraint in their public statements and to refrain from continuing direct attacks against the media.

AJK further condemns any form of violence or intolerance manifested during live political debates.
