Lynching Campaign Against Klan Kosova TV, Prishtina, 21.4.2025

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AJK) is deeply concerned about the systematic campaign by the largest parliamentary party, Vetëvendosje, against the national private broadcaster Klan Kosova.

The party’s Secretary General, Alim Rama, in a post this Monday, called on VV members to boycott this television station. Such a lynching campaign is unacceptable.

Publicly targeting the station—and, by extension, its journalists, camera operators, and other staff—endangers their physical safety. This systematic campaign, featuring irresponsible statements from acting Prime Minister Kurti and other VV figures, has already led to several attacks on Klan Kosova journalists on election day.

AJK calls on Vetëvendosje to cease its practice of attacking the media in its efforts to undermine media freedom and freedom of expression.
